The Elliquilt Story.
My name is Sharon, and I am the owner of Elliquilt, an online fabric shop. Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, I started the business in 2011. My interest in quilting really started when I was living in the Middle East around 2008. In Kuwait fabric is plentiful and so are expat quilters. I belonged to a large quilt group of diverse nationalities and it was a wonderful melting pot of talents. I learnt so much while living there.
In 2011 I decided to turn my hobby and knowledge of fabric into a business.
Elliquilt’s purpose is not to replace or compete with the local quilt shop but rather work along side them offering specialist designer fabric to a niche market. The local quilt shop has such an important role to play with quilt classes, fabric colour matching etc that Elliquilt could not even begin to offer. Instead I stock fabric that I absolutely love and hope others will love it as well.
I am supported by my husband and son who are the financial and IT boffins.
